The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network is offering one day meetings in Maryland, Illinois, and New York this spring. These conferences “Food Allergies: Where Knowledge Can Save a Life”, offer insight into the most recent findings on food allergy. Attendees will learn:

Scientific basics of food allergy and anaphylaxis
Symptoms and causes of allergic reactions
Strategies for avoiding reactions
Food labeling regulations and understanding ingredient labels
Food allergies in schools from pre-k through college
Advances in food allergy research
Psychological impact of food allergy

Attendees will receive free educational materials and have the opportunity to view and order the latest FAAN materials.

The meetings are particularly useful for anyone who has a food allergy. Parents, grandparents, and relatives of children with food allergies; health care professionals; registered dietitians; caregivers; teachers; child care providers; and school staff will also find the sessions very informative.
